In honor of the second-best Wii game of 2009…

A game that is, in many ways, an answer to the pleas of complaining gamers who call themselves “hardcore” but don’t care to try anything new…

It’s A Boy and His Blob.

  • The best Wii game of 2009 is, of course, Punch-Out!!. New Super Mario Bros. Wii can be third-best.

  • I prefer S’s version, but this is nice.

  • Is it really that good? I would’ve gotten it for Christmas but I completely forgot about it.

  • It has a lot going for it. It’s very pretty, it’s got zero waggle (it could have been on SNES just as it is, but without as good of audio and visuals), it has eighty levels (forty normal levels and forty unlockable “challenge levels” you get by collecting treasure chests in the normal ones), and it’s fun. It’s well worth the $35 you can get it for new on Amazon (I don’t know how much it is in stores, though).

  • Yeah man, it’s freaking amazing. GO BUY NOW.
    *Eats jelly bean*

  • And Metroid Prime Trilogy cuts into fourth. 3-for-1 deal can’t be beat… unless you’re Mario All-Stars with Mario World.

Still, Neat hack. Been looking into the game, but didn’t have any real motive to buy it.

  • Thanks to BigSharkZ for teaching me how to remove polygons.

Hehe, just messing with you, nice texture. Haven’t tried the game yet, though.

  • Uhhh nuts, forgot to say that

Yeah, he’s much better without the belt buckle or sheath, thanks a lot for the help.

  • I just saw the blob shield, that the most clever thing I’ve seen all year! (haha 2010)

  • Actually, I’m not sure whether I like NSMBW or MPT better. Each has its advantages over the other.

I still need to play ABaHB, but I can’t say that it’s a priority unless I find it at a cheap price somewhere. As in, <$20. I did just buy a PS3, after all. Don't have much cash left.

And once again, BP shows us how much wacky and awesome stuff can be done with Toon Link.

  • Fuck year! Now make blob kirby, and change Links grab to be a hug.

  • Yay! I have A Boy and His Blob. It’s definitely a really good game. And unappreciated, as well. šŸ™

But as for best, imma have to go with Punch-Out!! Then, NSMBW, then Madworld, then ABaHB. As for MPT, I don’t really count that, since it’s only a compilation.

Anyways, great texture! Although I think it would have been cool if you made Kirby the blob. And then color his stone form into the blob as well.

  • I guessed it was gonna be The Conduit…which isn’t a bad game, really.

  • HECK FREAKIN’ YES.

  • The download is in STUFFZ (as are the ones for Hermey and Thermal Rainbow Mario). I’m going to update the Hacks list with links now.

  • Actually, it looks like I can’t edit the Hacks list. What the heck

  • “complaining gamers who call themselves ā€œhardcoreā€ but donā€™t care to try anything new”

Ah yes, the hardcore retrofags. The world would be much better if you all were just stripped of all skin and organs down to the bone and tossed into a pit. :3

Makes me feel pitiful that I come from the beginning of the same generation as most of you. Ā¦D

  • Weeaboos have priority on the “must die” list.

  • Man, guys, still no updates in 3 days? SS can has dead :O

  • No updates in 3 days?

  • You people and your demands, geez. We stop having enough material for an update

    EVERY

    DAY

and you think we’re all dead? Come on now.

  • @Mewcario

Actually Conduit was the biggest disappointment of the year/ever.

  • I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
