A city theme for the stage builder. It replaces the ruins template (STGEDIT_2.pac). The obvious motive was to make a Fourside that felt more like Fourside, but I didn’t put in any recognizable buildings except for that fortune cookie building from Australia… so the template has more potential–Saffron City, perhaps.
That’s not all though–the download‘s got more stuff. In it, you’ll find the texture (STGEDIT_2.pac), my custom Fourside* stage (st_fourside.bin) and a BRSTM of the Fourside music from Melee (R17.brstm). R17 is normally “Charge! (Wii Play),” So it’ll replace that and also play on Pictochat–I figure no one would miss that one. Of course, you can name the BRSTM whatever else you want to have it replace a different song, but you’ll also need to have the custom stage’s song match it. I think the included one crashes the in-game stage builder, though, so the Stage Studio would be necessary if you need to change the song.
*I know that these are a dime a dozen, this makes things quicker in case you don’t already have one, or made it on a different Stage Builder theme. I made it in the Stage Studio, which allows for better stage creation than the in-game Builder. The building on the far left has the same curved roof as the original stage, and the preview image depicts Fourside as it appeared in Melee. The text in the stage’s title is also less stupid-looking. But the game will freeze if you try to edit it in-game, it does that with stages made in the Stage Studio.
First. Kidding….
I saw this in the previous update. Looks pretty cool.
Whollyshiii
I think I remember this. Wow. Been a while, though.
Cool stuff.
This looks awesome. But apparently the latest version of Brawl+ has disabled custom stages.
Thats because Brawl+ Bans all stages- *shot*
@Turtle
That’s only for the people who use Brawl+ without Homebrew. That’s all.
If you still wanna use them, just download the text file from their site and turn it off in code manager or Brawl+ Tweaker. :3
Only stage-modding code from Brawl+ I use is the new Skyworld one. It immediately destroys the three smaller platforms and makes the largest one indestructible, basically making it a slightly different Battlefield clone… but what can I say, it’s the scenery and music that I like about series-specific stages, not the gimmicks.
umm its not in the download section and the link says its invalid
Cool I guess, but I wish you guys would update more than once a week ;_;
@ Dirtboy345 just edit the url from stacksmash.kontek.net/stacksmash.kontek.net/STUFFZ/Stages/StageBuilderCity.rar to stacksmash.kontek.net/STUFFZ/Stages/StageBuilderCity.rar
Oh, yeah, that reminds me – how does one put Stage Builder hacks on the SD card? In the same folder as the other stage hacks, or somewhere else?
uh…. no DL
Thats awesome. It b cool if you made one of NYC with the buildings being the WTC and the city in the background. I made a NYC stage, but not with textures.
I agree it doesn’t really look much like Fourside; Not even the Melee one (Except for the fact it’s at night) But this is still a very good texture. Looks awesome. 😀
I said, it’s not quite supposed to.
Fixed the broken link. I forgot the http:// in the URL. I’m an idiot.
Wow! Way better than mine

I have seen with brawlbox people do something like a block facing the opposite way would be a different color.
So couldn’t you use this to make the buildings vary in looks.
@Eternal Blue
Easy, since there’s a model for the normal and switched block, they just made it so the switched one loads like, Texture#2, by renaming its texture in the model file, and then adding the texture and rename it to Texture#2.
