I’ll try to make this as quick and painless as possible.
This is S. …and, as I’m sure most of you are well aware, I’ve been busy trying to make Smash Bros. Melee texture hacks for the team.
However, I’ve noticed quite a bit of bickering from both the Brawl and Melee sides of the community, so I’m torn with this decision.
Should we host a separate Stack Smash-oriented “extension” site to host the Gamecube textures?
Or should I just continue posting here at Stack Smash?
Both sides have their pros and cons; staying here would simply be easier for those enjoying both flavors of the Smash series, and in the long run just makes it convenient for simultaneous searching.
But having an extension site would benefit those who have a bad habit of quarreling with their Smash brothers, and make it easier to customize and navigate (strictly a Melee roster, and knowing you’re only getting 100% GCN-related goodies rather than a potential “Oh, I wish they’d hurry up and release Brawl stuff already.” “Need moar Melee, need moar!”-mixed bag).
I really don’t know… Since day one, the reason I started hacking was for the benefit of the Smash community. And I’m only asking this so that I may find a way to continue to please, and also keep the peace.

I’d say keep them here and have a separate column on the Hacks page for Melee hacks. Or any other game’s hacks, for that matter.
It would be really inconvenient to have to browse more than one site daily for what amount to the same team’s work. Especially if it amounted to having only one site update on any given day (which is how I assume it would work). That would be a pain.
make a new category on the site, just for melee textures.
just keep posting them here. that would make life a lot easier. and the fanboys who simply CAN’T go a day without a texture need to get outside more.
oh for pete’s sake! STAY HERE! SCREW THE IDIOTS WHO’RE ARGUING! The melee stuff’s cool. I just come here to look at the textures, I can’t play with them but I like looking at them.

I say make a “Melee” tab in the site and melée updates there ^^

Oh, No, far from it, KimashiZ812. Hypothetically speaking… the extension IS Stack Smash, just more for posting things other than Brawl-related hacks.
Either make ‘Melee’ tab here and just put Melee stuff in it, or make a seperate site for Melee stuff.

Make the melee stuff separate. It’s definitely a different category from the brawl hacks, and separating the two would keep organization cleaner.
I wouldn’t want to sift through the brawl posts looking for melee when all I want anyway is more melee.. 😛
Keep em at Stack Smash. Just make a new catagory on the site…its that simple

Definately make an extension. If you don’t, this will just turn into another Gamefaqs. And no one wants that.
Extension site, personally i dont care about the melee hax, so i dont want to get exited about an awsome hack just to find out its somthing i cant use.

Well this is a bit late but… I say new tab but stay here. I was thinking that before all the comments. But I would hope for someone to make a guide for hacking melee, even texture hacks if there are special programs. I’m better at brawl but i still have a place in my heart for melee (and even the first SSB). But this all might just me.
