The second hand. The straggler. The lower class. The forgotten. That is the life of Luigi, or was the life of Luigi. Always in the shadow of his older brother, Mario. And he hated it. Though you couldn’t tell through their adventures, Luigi had grown a deep dark seed of hatred towards Mario. One that would lead him to do something unthinkable…something that would kill Mario…and himself…

Being the younger brother, Luigi was always looked down upon, called a coward, a wuss, a mockery the Mario Family, always compared to his successful brother. And it went on throughout most of his life, living a life of shame and disapproval. Finally, Luigi was fed up. He was tired of never getting the princess, tired of never being the hero, and decided to fix it. Despite being looked down upon, Luigi was exceptionally smart. He began being mentored by Prof. E. Gadd, learning the ways of science and technology. He began work on an invention that would lead to Mario’s demise…something so simple, yet so sneaky…a trick in plain sight, yet not seen…an invisible block.

Luigi knew of Mario’s daily paths, of Bowser’s monotonous plans to steal Princess Peach, and how to catch Mario when he least expected it. Hearing of how Princess Peach had been captured, he initiated his plan. Stealing E. Gadd.’s F.L.U.D.D., he hovered over an pit that Mario naturally navigated. There, he placed the unsuspecting invisible block, and waited. Soon enough, word spread that Mario had gone missing…later that week, reports came in that Mario was dead…Luigi’s plan had succeeded…almost.

Just as Luigi was ready to celebrate, E. Gadd. came out saying that he could bring Mario back to life. Luigi was horrified by the news, and planned to do something about it. On the day that E. Gadd planned to bring Mario back to life, Luigi went in and tampered with the machinery, in hopes that it wouldn’t work. Instead, the results came out horribly. Mario came back to life, and killed E. Gadd, Princess Peach, and Luigi himself. As Luigi laid on the ground bleeding to death, he looked up and saw Mario stumble out…Luigi passed out…5 hours later, Luigi opened his eyes, to see that E. Gadd and Peach were gone. He himself wondered why he was alive. He stumbled out of the lab, and immediately ran into a Toad. Overcome by emotions and rage, he viscerally mauled the Toad, and commenced to feed on his flesh…where the conversion would continue…with Luigi as one of the most lethal…
