TT got the EE treatment; Nintendo went after them too. I, for one, will never buy a Nintendo product new ever again. -PZT
JUSTICE EDIT BY BIRD PERSON. NONE of that crap is true. Team Twilight was closed by the server. Leon was told to “remove copyright-infringing content.” Technically no, none of it actually is infringement, but you get the idea. Leon’s HOST shut him down because they were scared of potential lawsuits. But this is what I believe happened with Syntax Error, too. PZT is caught up in the “Raganook is my friend and would not lie to me,” but see? Raganook was lied to himself. He’s said even he never saw a real letter from Nintendo. The host people just said that. So PZT, listen to me. They didn’t lie to us. They relayed a lie. I give my sincerest apologies for thinking it was the ]EE[ team who made up that hoax.
I know I sound like I’m trying to make a big deal… but on the contrary I’m just trying to dispel lies that made this more dramatic than it should be. The end. Good night and rest easy knowing that Nintendo never attacked a Brawl hacking team nor will they ever get us, thanks to PZT eliminating his own position as host for Stack Smash and putting us on this [horrible] server.
Braz, it’s High Defination Face. The last update.
That’s a goat? T_O
100!?
thanks Jim
@Bluz
So, Skyos and Rag don’t have them. What about Cryos? Maybe he got sent some of the textures? If i’m remembering correctly, he took the pics, meaning he had all the textures.
@Jim
The LAST texture? I thought you guys were gonna keep making them?
Ugh. Last update, as in the update the happened most recently.
@TAG
Yes, I am THAT PAVGN. It’s me, I am the same person as the PAVGN as the one who puts his own music in Brawl. (Sorry for the off-topic comment.)
Brawl texture hacking: More dramatic than all the high schools of the major American cities combined. Next thing ya know, Androu will have gotten Teady preggo.
And thus comes more evidence of PZT’s untrustworthyness
hey wait a minute anrt twilight and eleit smash hackers hosted by the same site? so wouldnt eleit smash hackers get shut down as well
@kingdombrawl: The host can’t see everything at once. Most likely, ESH hasn’t even been noticed yet. If it really was the host, though, it’s only a matter of time before ESH gets the threat…
Still, the host can’t press charges or give out a cease and desist. The most the host can do is refuse to host the site anymore. Meaning really, TT can go anywhere else and is not in danger. If that is really what happened with ]EE[, too, then the same goes for them. Nintendo may not even be caring at all; it may be paranoid hosts, so it is just a matter of finding a host that is cool with it, or using their own servers. Because really, whoever receives the C&D is responsible; once they leave the server, the host is no longer responsible, and, as they never got the C&D directly, they are not responsible either.
@Leon: I know you have the goat icon, which is why I am fairly certain it’s you… just saying, if someone wanted to impersonate you that bad, it’s not hard to take that icon and use it. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, though.
*mega cough rofl*I KNEW IT*cough*
now it’s a matter of time until we hear about ]EE[ again, right?
yes.
people……texture hacking will not be illegal forever….apparently 2 hackers from youtube are working to get the textures to work with gecko os……meaning you dont need a back up of brawl
so if gecko os 2.0 gets released and nintendo shuts down more sites than you can be mad and not by anything anymore
Hopefully they get a new host WHERE WE CAN VIEW THE SITE WITHOUT HAVING TO SIGN UP. I haven’t seen any of their textures as I don’t want to sign up.
It looks like PZT jumped the gun.
I agree with JrDude.
@Hippochinfat
the actual site didn’t need you to log in to view them. That was the forum…
the actual site was lower on stacksmash’s in the community list thing.
called: Team Twilight. not teh forum.
@lakajd: …creating a backup of Brawl is not illegal, if you do it from your own copy you paid for and do not distribute it or share it. If you read the terms of service, you’d know that. Downloading a backup copy is different; that’s illegal, even if you own the original game.
The legality issue is not from creating the backup; it’s not even from altering it. If you buy a product and mess with it, that is your decision. It’s when you spread it around. Yes, I know, the game is not being distributed by the texture hackers, but something that changes how the game was intended to be used is being distributed, which is in a legal gray area where whether they have the rights is arguable. The only reason they would ever choose to press charges for that would be if they felt this was indirectly promoting piracy, which it is. So many more people just download the ISO to do this (piracy) than use their own copy of Brawl to create an ISO (backup). No matter how much texture hacking sites discourage it, naturally this will just increase piracy on the game, and they want to protect their rights.
That being said, I’m starting to think it’s just been paranoid hosts. I mean, even Nintendo realizes there are bigger things to worry about out there than the texture hacking community. Just because they have an excuse to press charges doesn’t mean they have reason to.
Sooo, Syntax Error’s demise might have actually been their SERVER’S fault?!

WOW. Looks like Nintendo’s vindicated!
I hope. 🙂
@ ShadJV: Actually, I’ve read in console game manuals that you shouldn’t make back-up copies and that they’re not necessary for protecting your game.
Just sayin’.
Hopefully, PZT won’t make the same blunder a third time, or better yet, servers won’t chicken out and drop everything.
Wait…that makes no sense.
]EE[, TT and us all have the same host. Why didn’t we shut down then? We were created way before TT was so that makes no sense.
Ya. I don’t have to hate Nintendo anymore. 🙂
What about the DVDs. Surely someone must have a DVD with the finale version on it?
@Starry Might: Correct, they say you should not. Because if one screws up and messes up their game or computer or something in the process, they don’t want any liability. Legally, you can back-up your game. They just advise against it.
