It disappoints me that there aren’t many menu text hacks, especially since it’s so easy to do.
This menu hack edits (some of) the button text on the main menu, and places Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff quotes on the description bar.

If you want to use your own common5/etc., just extract the BRRES files that have my edits in them and put them in yours.
I hope to add more edits to this soon. In particular, I want to find a good place to include the quote “try agaig.”

What folders do you put these in?
@Justis: Assuming you’re using Gecko, mu_menumain.pac goes in pfmenu2 and common5.pac goes in pf/system.
So what files do you edit exactly? I’m merge this with my fancy color changing background

@Elb: for common5.pac, there’s MiscData[30] in sc_selcharacter_en and MiscData[80] in sc_selmap_en if you want it. For mu_menumain.pac, there’s MenuMain_en and MiscData[5]. I think that covers it.
