I just realized… Pokemon Eggs weren’t discovered until Gen 2, right? Which, according to in-game, takes place a few years after Gen 1. How do they know about when the Pokemon is born?
Roy: Because they didn’t know how it was born. they discover a deformed Squirtle, see that it’s back becomes hardened, and see if this happens for every “deformed Squirtle,” which they believe is a newborn. They just don’t find out it hatches from an egg until the daycare becomes SMART and lets 2 Pokémon stay with them instead of 1.
This has been a completely false remark based on a logical answer. :3
